After spending a few years as a handyman to get by while in college at UCSD, Keith decided to get his general contractor’s license in 1991 and the business began to grow soon afterward. The first step is to contact us and set up an appointment. Keith will meet you at your home at your convenience and discuss your project in great detail. If your project requires an architect and building permits, we can handle it for you. If you’re considering hiring an interior designer, we have a few great references. If you already have a designer, then we are happy to work with them every step of the way. If you want to work with us directly on the design, we are always eager to assist you and have plenty of design experience to make your dream come true.
We will provide you with a comprehensive estimate and include allowances for most fixtures and finishes. KL9’s discounted price on fixtures and finishes is your price and nothing is ever “marked up.” You have complete control over what you spend on such items as cabinets, appliances, countertop slabs, plumbing fixtures, and tile. We will measure, order and deliver such items so all you need to do is make your selections when needed. We will keep you ahead of the curve every step of the way so you know what decisions will need to be made and when.
On the first day of work, you will see right away what sets us apart. We go to great lengths to cover and protect your belongings from dust and debris. We will often install elaborate “bubbles” with plastic sheeting going from floor to ceiling to keep the work areas and all the dust contained. Furniture and belongings will be moved away from danger and floors will be thoroughly protected at all times. We clean up every day and keep your home as livable as possible during construction.
